Achievements & Competitions
I’ve been lucky to be part of a school that encouraged and supported me to join many competitions. These experiences helped me grow not just academically, but socially too. I learned how to communicate, work in a team, and present my ideas confidently. Here are a few highlights I’m proud of:
Science Fair 2023 – 1st Place
This was a national level competition between schools across the UAE. I won first place for my project on The Pharmacological Activity of Emirati Plant Leaves Extract. I researched how we could use a local plant from the Henna District to develop a new medicine. I conducted lab tests at Masdar’s bio labs and found that the extract showed promising results. It was a big challenge, but the research taught me a lot and it felt amazing to win.
Expo Project 2024 – 2nd Place
Organized by ACTVET, this competition pushed us to think about sustainable technology. My team created a prototype of an algae-powered charger. We did deep research on algae as a bioenergy source and built a working model. This project taught me how science and creativity can solve real problems. A video below explains how our project works.
ADNOC STEM Challenge – 2nd Place
After our success at Expo, I told my team, “Why don’t we take the same project and compete in the ADNOC STEM Challenge?” We went for it and won second place again. This competition, hosted by ADNOC, gave us a bigger platform and connected us with professionals in the energy field.
